|Rescue Me ID: 15-11-15-00098Maggie (female)|
Meet Maggie, avail for adoption through Central Ohio Pomeranian Rescue. Maggie is a very sweet-tempered, 3 yr. old, French Bulldog/JRT/Chi x (we are guessing at this). For Maggie, every day is a happy day. You can tell by the way she wiggles her Frenchie, tailless body. She is eager to please her humans. She will maintain very good eye contact and is very trainable. Smart as a whip, learns new commands the very first time. She loves sleeping in the sunshine or under a blanket (or both most often) and then playing with my humans. She is looking for an active family with maybe a teenager or older child. She will chase a small toddler if they run. She gets along very well with other dogs & would like another dog her size or larger to play with, is interactive and shares food well. She will chase a cat, at first, if they run because she probably feels it's a game, but that does settle down in time. She co-exists with a cat in her foster home and they leave each other alone. She is 14 lbs. of bounce per ounce. She is a great balance of dog laziness and fun playtime. While she needs activity, she is not prone to 'spaziness', nor is she destructive. She loves her toys and is very happy to play alone, but loves interacting and playing with people. She has a little toy envy, but that can be easily controlled. Maggie is housebroken once a schedule is established, also potty-pad trained. She goes in her crate eagerly to sleep at night and while anyone is away. If she is left to her own at night, you will find her curled up deep under your covers by your feet (and won't move the whole night!). Her Frenchie coat is very short, very low maintenance and minimal shedding, but that also makes her prone to being cold. She loves the outdoors and is happy to sniff every blade of grass. walks on a leash, rides well in a car. Very lovable and likes to cuddle. She would make just the greatest family dog Maggie is so sweet and loving!!! In foster care in Port Clinton, OH.
