Meet our boy Frenchie! Our best guess is that he is a French Bulldog/Jack Russell mix. He is almost 4yrs old (about 30lbs) and rescued from KY. You see, his owner was threatening to shoot him and one day he escaped his home out a window to get to safer ground at a neighbor's house. Also knowing he deserved better, the neighbor turned him over to a group of animal advocates who made sure he was not only safe but healthy too. We don't know if Frenchie was born deaf or suffered some kind of trauma, but he doesn't seem bothered by it in the least. We get the sense that he was an outdoor only dog in his former life, but keeps his area clean with ... (Read More)us. He is comfortable with most dogs (but not all - esp those his size or smaller) but absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to be a lap dog. We are saying no young children because of his hearing deficiency since they could easily startle him since he can't hear them coming. When we enter his room and let him out , he's just sooo happy to see you that his whole body wiggles with excitement. If someone is willing to take the time to train our dear Frenchie - we know he would not disappoint. You can see it in his eyes when he looks at you, he just wants to please. To make Frenchie a part of your home, please visit our site www.endingthesadness.org and email us an application. Our adoption fee is $325 and all of our pets come with full vet records. All animals are up to date on vaccinations & dewormed. Please keep in mind we are a Rescue Group and most of our pups come to us with little or no background info regarding breed, eventual size, age or prior health issues. We rely on the expertise of our veterinarians and make estimates based on past experience. Also, when you're adopting from a Rescue, you should ask questions! You should always get shot/medication records and the rescue should have had the dog for a bit of time to check for disease. Take the time to educate yourself before adopting. A reputable rescue will have nothing to hide and will answer ALL your questions!!! Please visit our Web Site to see all of the pets we have for adoption. Our site contains information about our adoption process and fees, our application, and answers to frequently asked questions. Please read it carefully before contacting us. If you are interested in adopting THIS wonderful pet, we strongly encourage you to complete our adoption application now. Once we receive and approve your application, we will notify you of approval.     The French Bulldog is nicknamed Frenchie. French Bulldogs were bred from miniature English Bulldogs imported to France and crossed with French Terriers. One French Bulldog was lost in the sinking of the Titanic, and the dog was insured for the then huge sum of $750. The English were outraged that this breed became known as the French Bulldog.
